Message in a Bottle

I can feel my resolve slipping away. I am not sure if it is post Bump and Grind blues, or simple monotony. I am in the grip of a rut and I can't get up. Big Worm took the weekend off (wait for it) to do YARD WORK! Oh, how the mighty have fallen. I was going to ride yesterday but there were cloud thingies and that sent me scampering for the recliner.
I planned a ride I didn't attend this weekend. That is a cardinal sin. My crew is broken, the flag is on the ground, and no one cares. Red Dragon has stopped making empty threats to win mythical races and Juancho is putting in crazy miles, some in front of other riders. I suppose any day now, I will see Magnum on a bike. The horsemen are on the horizon.

I need help people. I think I am sinking down. I hate the trails, I hate the road bike, but on a good note.... cookies are great.

Send help....

It's summer, crazy times. Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out, etc.
There are bears in the woods. And snakes. And strange cat-like creatures with gleaming yellow fangs.
The recliner is safe; yes, cookies are good.
Now get off your ass and go ride.
(If you want to.)

Ha, you won't see me on a bike; I used it to tie up my lima bean stalks.
Plus, mama made fresh cookies and the recliner has a new drink holder-ME!

Come on over, the AC is bumpin'.

I don't know. We all go through that.

I can say though that I cannot think of a time I've regretted getting out there for a ride when I didn't feel like it, but I have regretted not going.

Listen to Ms. Moon. And, just bring the cookies with you. :)

I go to Miami for a week, come back and find that I am now in the bizzaro world. I'm looking for a ride on Saturday, send out some text messages only to find out Big Worm is doing yard work (bizarro) and that WB is doing a road ride (bizarro). Before you know it I'll hear that the mackeral and red dragon are riding again (bizarro). Is anyone out there I can ride with?

Man, a brother takes an easy week, and it's like the sky is falling. We all reconvene for a Tuesday ride. Even Bikechain shows up. And when I go down like a ton of bricks back by Lake Jackson, all of my crew but Bikechain, leave me broken and bleeding in the dust, never to be seen again. No worries though, for I am Bigworm, and I'm sure the ground hurts worse than I do.

Monotony is a bitch. You gotta break it up to keep the juices flowing. After that mini-desertion last night, I won't feel too guilty next Tuesday, when I consider doing the Atomic crit, or maybe a campus ride...

Dude, I feel so bad. We thought you guys circumnavigated the lake and were hanging at the top of the hill. We waited and yelled and then I said something about getting up the hill to find you guys. Tim took that to mean we needed a hill time trial. After he ripped our legs off and beat us with the stumps, we thought maybe you guys cut out because BC was blown. So we time trialed to the parking lot. Then when you weren't there we assumed you were ahead of us and BJ'S and I time trialed to the orifice. I waited till Kent showed up and then a few more minutes but you were endurance training and I never saw you again. I feel terrible about the crash.

I wish I could help you but I am pretty much worthless to even be able to help myself nowadays.

Is that hand from a Goya painting? Very apropos.

Ms Moon, you were in great mood yesterday and I was bummed...now I am happy and you are sad! Can't we all just get the right meds?
Mag, gimmie the cookies and no one gets hurt!
Nicol, you are right. I always force myself on the bike and never regret it, one monday off and I flog myself for days! I just really love naps and I have to caffinate and force myself at gunpoint to get dressed!
BJS....brought me cookies to the ride last night and then tried to kill me on the way back! Thanks for both!
Juancho, why did you call me little one....are we going to refer to each other by our most obvious traits now chubby?
donnie/porn stash, get your ass back in the saddle and back in the group!
Manager Mom, I read your blog very funny and clever. Thanks for stopping by.
